CentexFootball.com's History

Centexfootball.com first arrived on the internet scene in 1999 and was the brainchild of local Central Texas high school senior named Henry Witt III, who began his web career by developing a website for his high school football team. The site was quickly recognized, winning small awards and Witt soon longed to reach larger audiences. However, he was not sure exactly how to go about it.

Though Witt lacked much interest in other sports, he expanded his small-town football website to include other sports in the high school. With little interest from visitors in the new multi-sport site, Witt decided to take a different route. Instead of branching within his school, he decided to expand the football website genre to include other schools from the same area. He decided to call the website Centexfootball.com and developed a very simple design with a very simple message board incorporated in the website. As soon as the site was running, the word of it spread like wild-fire. The bulletin board alone amassed millions of hits in its first season alone.

That was five years ago, and Centexfootball.com is still going strong as one of the most visited websites of its type on the web. Since then Centexfootball.com has welcomed many affiliations and advertisers in the Central Texas area including several television and radio stations. Henry is still the proud administrator of Centexfootball.com and is also the owner of Wittcom Technologies, a web design company based in Waco, Texas.
